Stuart Canvas Products has over 40 years experience in manufacturing covers out of variety of materials. As the industry has grown so have Stuart Canvas. We specialise in the manufacture of covers for the sporting world let that be for Cricket to Tennis for rain protection to football and rugby for frost protection. On top of this we can manufacture all sizes of industrial covers for commercial and industrial uses.

We are based in Warrington in a 25,000sqft purpose designed factory and have invested heavily in new machines and technology to be able to design and manufacture nearly all types of covers. We pride ourselves in the ability in being able to solve problems that clients have and then design a solution around the problem.

Management and Advisors

Edward Stoddart – Chief Executive

Edward has worked in the leisure industry for over ten years in several different countries. He has worked on various commercial projects and his experience lies in the implementing of change to create increased sales and efficiency to businesses.

He has worked for companies such as Arena Leisure plc, Clubhaus plc and Namco Operations as well as working as a freelance consultant. Ed has a great knowledge of venues and the sports and leisure markets.

Compton Hellyer – Non-Executive Chairman

Compton brings a wealth of business experience to the company. He founded and then chaired Sporting Index, the UK’s leading sports spread betting firm, for more than ten years and now is the non-executive chairman of several small companies. He has a great knowledge of sport in general, especially horse racing.

Nick Pocock – Non-Executive Director

Nick has been involved in cricket for many years both as Captain of Hampshire CCC (1980-1984) and in the off season as Consultant to Independent Schools for the provision of artificial services and cricket covers. As a member of the MCC Committee, Nick is now involved in strengthening cricket in both schools and clubs and is keen that they enjoy the very best facilities possible.

Alan Mills – Tennis Consultant

Alan Mills CBE has been a consultant to Stuart Canvas Products for over 15 years. As the Wimbledon Championship referee for over 20 years he is one of the great names in tennis. His reputation on the ATP tennis circuit (as well as outside) is second to none and he adds vast experience, knowledge and value to our team.

Jeremy Warren – South of England and Tennis Consultant

Jeremy is our special project consultant. After a distinguished career in the Army and then in the City, he brings his experience and knowledge of project management to our team. Jeremy also supervises our tennis clients.
