Mobile Fences

Stuart Canvas Products has helped Haydock Park Racecourse develop an artificial National Hunt fence that is movable, causes less injuries to  horses and needs less maintenance.

The jump is based on a steel frame which has wheels attached to make it easy to transport around the racecourse. During racing it is fixed to the ground but can be moved by just two people. The main body of the jump is made out of foam and very strong PVC and is covered with artificial grass. If damage does occur to the jump it can be very easily fixed between races with a new piece of artificial grass being attached to the main body of the fence in a matter of minutes.

• Better use of the track and turf as the fences are not fixed to any one area of the course

• Easy to transport

This is a potentially significant cost saving for all jump racecourses because not only is it movable but it can be easily repaired at very little cost.
