Additional Extras for the Tennis Court Cover
Inflatable tubes can be used to roll the tennis court cover out quickly and also to make the tennis court covers look smarter on the side of the court. Made from PVC material, the 3ft diameter inflatable tube is easy to roll on and off by one or two people. The inflation of the tube should take around 2-3 minutes with an adapted leaf blower, and is attached to the cover by velcro.
The inflatable tube will release air out over a period of time and as such might need topping up as and when. If you know you are not going to use the tube for a prolonged period of time, then we suggest you take all the air out of the tube – this takes less than 1 minute as there is a value that allows you to do this.
This is an alternative option to the inflatable tube, although it would require an extra person to fold away. This system has the same concept as the inflatable tube, however it is stored in a sleeve at the end or side of the court, depending on preference. To deploy the cover when stored, the bag is easily unclipped, using the grab handles on the cover itself to be manually pulled out, using the reverse technique to store the tennis court cover once finished.
The tennis court cover will need to be clipped or weighed down, to prevent movement of the tennis court cover.
If you prefer to use sand bags, then please find the image of the sand bag that is easy to use and can also be made to the colour you want (within reason). The sand bag would come with 15kg of pea shingle already inside, but the bag can easily be opened and closed in case you wanted to adjust the weight.
We also have an alternative type of sandbag, and these are black in colour that still weigh the same but are slightly harder to move. These are long and thin – please see the images below:
